About the Commission

Pursuant to Article 6 of Taipei City Self-Governance Act and Article 2 of the Organizational Rules of the Indigenous Peoples Commission, the Commission administers over the affairs of the aboriginal residents of Taipei City, formulates policy directives and plans for aboriginal residents, handling matters concerning the protection of indigenous people’s interests and ethnic relationships, and promoting the economic development, education, culture, welfare and citizens’ rights of indigenous people.
