Mission

The urban plan has great bearing on local development. In order to make the urban plan feasible and fully reflect local requirements, it is reasonable that persons having a thorough understanding of the planned area be invited to take part in the examination of the local urban plan. In view of this, the Executive Yuan, in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Planning Law, set up urban planning commissions at varied levels from the Ministry of the Interior down to the township office to examine the urban plan submitted by the urban planning unit.
