Prospects for the 21st Century

With the concerns of protecting conservation areas, of preserving water resources and the carrying capacity of the natural environment, of preventing environmental pollution, the urban disasters, and resolving current transportation issues, the Taipei City Government has set up a growth ceiling through the reference of a population of 3.5 million in the target year of 2010.
